JDF Soldiers Suffering From Lung Infection
It was in the news not so long ago that JDF soldiers were experiencing lung infection. This could be caused by numerous reasons, were they living in damp mold infected areas, or were they handling lots of asbestos or were they experience some sort of Corona virus.
Recently a friend of mine died from lung infection. The diagnosis was Asbestos Poisoning. "dead"
The doctors were treating him for Asthma .His lungs were collecting water and he had to drain them regularly. He was suffering from breathing difficulty and had to be wearing an oxygen mast.
He went into the hospital in July and by November He was dead.
He was sixty four years old ,How did he get asbestos poisoning. One would say he was not living in any house that had asbestos. However he was a mechanic and was changing brake shoe from he was in his early twenties if not before. Asbestos can affect you as early as thirty years before showing any signs or symptoms.

Asbestos pipes has been banned in most recent years in the, in modern industries after it was proven to give cancer. However in countries like China it is still used in some manufacturing such as some categories of break shoe.
The fibers can come off the break shoes and affect the lungs. Are they using asbestos in the army
it is of uttermost importance that mechanics wear nose mask when changing ,and working on breaks.
Asbestos is known for its ability to withstand heat and is good for areas that experience heat and friction, but it gives off small fiber like particles that can stick to the lungs and cause difficulty in breathing and can lead to lung cancer.

I would suggest to the Jamaican health authorities which is experiencing some health problems and has had to close down major areas of the Cornwall Regional Hospital. not to rule out asbestos poisoning.
There is also the possibility of the sick building syndrome that can also affect the respiratory system. Check for molds in the area in which they sleep as these can be conducted through the air condition.

I do hope the problem is solved urgently.
