 Chocho Mocked Chocho


 Cherry is Lauded as one of the most important ingredients to a pasty chef ;this fruit can enhance an un-attractive dish. Every house wife should have this fruit in her kitchen cupboard. It can be very expensive.
Here is a method of making a very good substitute.

 Ingredients

 4 lbs. chocho
1 lb sugar
1 quart water
 Red food colour
 flavor
 Method •
Remove all the outer skin and inner tough core • Use a melon baller and use the smaller end and use to core out rounds • Put to boil in the water and add the food color • When cooked add the sugar and flavor boil down to a thick syrup • Sterilized jar in bleach water put bottles in a pot of warm water • Stock candid fruits into jars and seal warm. • Use for any dish that requires fruit decoration of cherries.

You can also use the chocho to make crystalline mocked fruits.

Cut up chocho and boil water and sugar. separate into desired color and flavor, Boil then turn on a tin, sheet cover with a  cheesecloth and put into the su to dry.
When  almost dry drench with  granulated sugar, package and seal .
